This will certainly be a new and interesting experience! hahaha
I totally saw Fall Out Boy(+ All American Rejects + Hey Monday) last night!!
I hurt! Hurt like whoa! But it was worth it!!
I was in line for about 8 hours and managed to get sunburnt which was, you know, awesome. Oh! And I had the BEST luck in the history of EVER! Because rod lave arena r are stupid they split the floor and I could only get rear floor tickets. But yesterday about 8 of us managed to exchange our rear floor for front at the box office at the arena!! Apparently a heap of people had cancelled their tickets, crazy people.
And I managed to get barrier! For the first time! Even with all the early entry kids! I have the bruises to prove it
I don’t know Hey Monday at all, but I still rather enjoyed them! They were so energetic.
As for All American Rejects? Wow. Tyson Ritter cannot be straight. After that performance theirs no way! Not only was he wearing pink jeans and a see through mesh shirt, no straight boy can prance like that. He also managed to hit on the entire arena at once. He kept calling us ‘Melbourne Baby’. I wonder if he realised half of his audience was underage? He also stoped in the middle of a song to ask us how fucking awesome did they sound and then serenaded some random birthday girl at the barrier. Basically they were fantastic!
And then Fall Out Boy came on with their flashy pyrotechnics and LIGHT. UP. GUITARS. and bass lines that grabbed your diaphragm and shook it around a heap kinda making you want to throw up and and and just wow. Seriously, there are no words!! They were amazing!
They had speakers along the stage so that they could walk along and get closer to the crowd and I was like two arm span from Pete wentz and his disturbingly long tongue at one point, it was weird. I mean, I’ve seen lots of pictures and video clips but to see them so close live, it was a bit of a shock! When Patrick came on, I could tell what hat he was wearing, from all the pictures (504plan….) and I knew that garbage bag jacket, and I don’t even look at a lot of Fall Out Boy pictures!
We couldn’t really hear what Pete was saying because of the shitty sound but there was some 10 minute story about Gabe Saporta, that was all I heard. Pete had something taped to the back of his bass, but he didn’t show my side of the stage!
Both All American Rejects and Fall Out Boy mentioned the bush fires we’ve been having, (Tyson offered to rock them away…..) which I though was pretty nice. It’s nice to know that there are so many people willing to help.
So yea, I think I’m going to go pass out somewhere, I’m so tired!
Today I went to war against the wrinkles in my respectable-person skirts (also known as the work-experience skirt and the funeral skirt). It was a mighty battle, however, my ironing skills? Are non-existent, so I think the wrinkles may have won. Damn.
The skirts are laughing at me! This is why they live at the back of the closet, evil things
LJ is telling me it's been 32 weeks since I've posted anything! Way to make me feel guilty LJ! But wow that is a long time. I got a little (or a lot) caught up in all the fic I guess, there’s just so many!
I got a phone call before, to tell me that I have a job interview on Monday at 10am. I have NO IDEA what job its for!! The guy on the phone was talking so fast so I didn’t catch the name. He said he'd send me a text message with the address of where the interview is being held, so I'm going google that and hope it'll give me some answers!
It’s a little bit hilarious when I really think about it. God I'm ridiculous!
This means I'm going to have to iron my respectable-person skirts. Damn. It's way too hot to iron! It'll be too hot on Monday to wear either skirt as well! No fair. Guess I'll have to take my lip ring out too, right? Double damn!
